Printed Pants

A printed trouser is definitely one of my all time favourite wardrobe staples. The first glimpse of sunshine and my collection of floral wide legs are the first to be dusted off from winter hibernation. I'm mega excited about all these new printed visions that keep appearing and have been spending quite a few hours wondering how to get my hands on the JW Anderson paisley ones worn by Alexa Chung last week. Paying £795 is not an option...

Ralph Lauren Wimbledon Party

We went to the Ralph Lauren for Wimbledon party last night to support the wonderful charity Too Many Women. The party was at the Brompton Cross store and typical to Ralph, no detail had been spared. My best bit was walking up the fresh grass 'red carpet' up to the 'line judges' who welcomed us in from their proper Wimbledon chairs, perched up high. Delicious cocktails, great outfits and one incredible prize. The silent auction was for two tickets to the men's final, looked after by Ralph Lauren from start to finish.

Sale of the Century

I've just about recovered from our sale we did on wednesday. After months of planning, it feels very surreal that it's now over.
It went better than we could ever have dreamt of. We were slightly panicking that we wouldn't have enough stock but arriving on the morning and seeing it all together for the first time, the worrying swiftly moved on to how the hell we were going to get rid of it all. You've never seen so many bags of donations. Some hideous creations but mostly real visions. We had to make a rule limiting ourselves to only buying two pieces each before the doors opened otherwise there'd be nothing left for our lovely customers. I chose a pair of Diesel mint green, slashed skinnies for £20 and a navy Chanel, boxy tweed jacket for £50. It's such a beauty that I had to keep it pretty much glued to my side all day so it wasn't kidnapped.
We didn't want to be left with anything so priced everything at ridiculous prices. The winner of best bargain award went to Miss Chloe Delevinge. She is the proud new owner of a never worn pair of canary yellow, Charlotte Olympias and a this season Matthew Williamson LBD. Both for about £100. Can you imagine the excitement?

Sensational Summer Sale!

Some friends and I are having a wonderful sale in aid of the charity 'Too Many Women'. We've got loads of great stalls - Cabbages and Roses, Made in Heaven Jeans, my new fave Chinti & Parker, divine jewels, spiritual healing, manicures... We also have our own stall which we've been concocting for weeks and is made up of all the incredible, designer donations we've been given. It's probably not in the spirit of things to buy up everything on our stall but some of the Chanel and YSL pieces really do have my name all over them.
Please do pass on the invitation to anyone who likes a shop, we're upstairs in Beaufort House, open from 2pm and would love to see you.

Chanel Sensations

Turning on my laptop this morning I was greeted with photos of Karl's latest Chanel show in Paris. As always it looked like the most incredible and theatrical show - Volcanic even, excuse the pun..

Chanel A/W 2011/12 Show in Paris yesterday

Out of all the catwalk shows in the world, if I had to choose only one to go to, without a doubt, it'd be Chanel. They are always the most sought after tickets and always the most spectacular shows. The photos this morning got me reminiscing about my Chanel show extravaganza.
Last May, when we were still living in France, my gorgeous friend Poppy who happens to also be a Chanel ambassador, took me with her to the Chanel Cruise show in St.Tropez. You can imagine the hours I spent trying to work out what the hell to wear. Cub was only six months old and think I'd only left the house about three times since he'd arrived. I'm not exaggerating here.
Anyway, I managed to get dressed. Obviously when we arrived at the show and saw everyone else's full on, head to toe Chanel creations I wanted to get straight back in the swanky chauffeured car and hide for a bit. Everyone there were proper, die hard, Chanel fans. To the point where it was almost funny. It was like being in a moving Chanel boutique. Absolutely fascinating.
The show itself really was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. All the big name, top models arriving by old school Rivas, hopping off and sauntering down the St Tropez port, in the most sensational, floaty numbers ever seen - all the stuff that's in the shops now. Go and have a look. So so pretty.
