Pimpernel & Partners

Pimpernel and Partners has been one of my favourite shops for a long, long time. It's been around for seventeen years and each time I've been in, I always want to buy everything. The lovely owner Sabine, travels back and forwards to France every month, bringing back gorgeous new treasures each time.

I think the best way to describe the shop is as 'shabby chic meets vintage France'. Right up my street. Think lots of antique, peel-y painted wooden chairs and tables, random, vintage kitchen bits, french calico-covered sofas, lichen covered outside furniture and faded floral cushions. Pure heaven.

Mad Cow

I absolutely love this story and thought I should share it.

15 year old Regina Mayer from Germany had always wanted a horse. Her parents weren't so keen on the idea though. Regina was left to her own devices and decided that she would make do with a cow called Luna instead. Luna now apparently thinks she is a horse and happily jumps over beer crates and painted logs and responds well to 'go', 'stand' and 'gallop'. Genius.

I don't know what it is about these swatches of paint. They are on the walls of the Anthropologie store in Chelsea and just looked so cool. I'm sure it's actually a very swanky piece of art but people were looking at me like I was a bit of a loonie while I was taking photos of them. I'm quite tempted to try and recreate it at home this weekend.

Cabbages and Roses

I went for my monthly Cabbages and Roses fix last week to find that they'd had a bit of a revamp. It's looking even more beautiful than usual. I have a bit of a thing for old flower pots and love how they have them piled them all up all over the shop.

Emma Bridgewater for Liberty

I dont know if I would be as excited about them if they weren't limited editions - but I really do love these new Emma Bridgewater plates and bowls. There's something about those two magic words that get me every time. I don't stand a chance. My beautiful new pasta bowl will be winging it's way to me as we speak.
