Inspire Launch at Anthropologie

I had the best time launching my new book in Anthropologie last week.  The whole day was spent in the store preparing for the workshop I was doing in the afternoon and party in the evening.  I'd been potting cabbages with spring flowers all week and then the wonderful Tom and I - head of visual merchandising for their Kings Road store - got to work on our transformations, turning our area into a magical woodland.  I used red, white and savoy cabbages and filled them with pansies, cowslips, old fashioned primulas and grape hyacinths.  They were then nestled in among moss covered branches and logs and ended up looking like something from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

A Dog a Day

I had a very exciting book meeting with the wonderful team at Anthropologie yesterday.  More about that another time but  obviously while I was there I had to pop into the store for a quick look.  When in Rome.  They have a small gallery off one side of the shop with wonderful exhibitions that change every month. This month's show is called 'A dog a day' by Sally Muir.  The walls are jam packed with her collection of paintings -a year long venture where she painted a different dog every single day.
It's running until tuesday 18th February and definitely worth a look, dog lover or not.

Selvedge Pop Up

Selvedge is one of my favourite magazines.  It's guaranteed to inspire and make me reach for the Copydex every time I pick up a copy.  It was with utter joy that I stumbled on their pop up shop in Anthropologie last week.  It's not huge but it looked beautiful.  And very arty.  And all these threads haves sent me into a necklace making madness.
