We've just got back from the most magical wedding weekend in Greece.  Two of our best friends, barefoot on the beach with 200 friends.  The bride organises events for a living so it was always going to be beautifully done but this was something else...

Inspire Launch at Anthropologie

I had the best time launching my new book in Anthropologie last week.  The whole day was spent in the store preparing for the workshop I was doing in the afternoon and party in the evening.  I'd been potting cabbages with spring flowers all week and then the wonderful Tom and I - head of visual merchandising for their Kings Road store - got to work on our transformations, turning our area into a magical woodland.  I used red, white and savoy cabbages and filled them with pansies, cowslips, old fashioned primulas and grape hyacinths.  They were then nestled in among moss covered branches and logs and ended up looking like something from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Michelin Birthday

I got taken to the mega swanky, Michelin star holding, Harwood Arms for one of my best friend's 30th birthday lunches last week.  I had no idea it was so swanky.  I was fully expecting a cheeseburger and chips and instead got the most delicious pan friend guinea fowl in it's place.  The idea of going  somewhere with a Michelin star has never really been that appealing to me; I've always imagined them to be places where you have to whisper and it's all a bit pretentious.  The Harwood Arms is the total opposite.  Light, airy, relaxed.  No whispering aloud.  And, it's run by one of my old friends Ed. Another unexpected bonus. And they have the best home made scotch eggs I've ever tasted.

Venice

I was looking though my photos last night and realised that I'd talked about going to Venice but had never actually posted about the trip itself. 
It was such a whirlwind visit but we managed to pack in so much that I actually felt like I'd been there for days.  We did sightseeing, ice cream eating, whizzing around on Gondolas, dancing around to Bryan Ferry, feasting on more Venetian delicacies than we knew what to do with and all in less than 24 hours...
